One idea, five pieces of content.
Treating every post as a blank page is why content burns people out. This lesson flips it: start with one real idea and repurpose it into a blog post, social posts, an email, and a video script — adapted for each channel, kept in your voice. No code.
The mental model
Stop creating from scratch. The unit of content is an idea — and one idea becomes many pieces.
Burnout comes from treating every post as a blank page. The shift: have one real idea, then repurpose it across formats. A single insight is a blog post, five social posts, an email, and a video script — same core, reshaped for each place people will see it.
Create once, publish everywhere. Your scarce resource is good ideas, not words. Spend your energy having something worth saying; let AI handle reshaping it for each channel.
Step 01 Start with one real idea
Not a topic — an idea with a point of view. “A lesson you learned,” “a mistake people make,” “a thing you believe that others don’t.” Specific and yours. That’s the seed.
Step 02 The repurpose prompt
Turn the seed into a set, all at once:
Step 03 Adapt per channel — don’t paste
Each place has its own rhythm. The same text everywhere reads like a robot. Push the AI to fit the channel:
- Social — a strong hook in the first line; one idea per post.
- Email — conversational, like writing to one person.
- Blog — room to explain, with a clear takeaway.
- Video — spoken rhythm, short sentences, a reason to keep watching.
Step 04 Keep it yours
AI gives you a draft; you make it true and specific. Add a real example, cut anything you wouldn’t say, fix anything inaccurate. Two minutes of editing is the difference between “AI wrote this” and “this is good.”
Your challenge: turn one idea into a set
Pick one real idea you have a point of view on. Then:
- Write the seed in a few specific sentences.
- Run the repurpose prompt for four formats.
- Push each piece to fit its channel — not copy-paste.
- Edit each for your voice and one real detail.
That’s a week of content from one idea, in your voice. Next, capture that voice so AI sounds like you every time, and build a weekly system — that’s Lesson 2.
What you can do now
- Treat an idea, not a post, as the unit of content
- Repurpose one idea into multiple formats at once
- Adapt content to each channel instead of pasting
- Edit AI drafts into your real voice with specifics
- Spot and fix the generic “AI tell” in content
