Point and ask: Meta AI can see.

Meta AI's strongest party trick is vision. Show it a photo — or, on glasses, just look — and it identifies, compares, and explains what is in front of you. Here is how to use that well.

01What "it can see" means

Muse Spark has strong multimodal perception: give it an image and it understands the contents, not just labels them. Snap a shelf of snacks and ask which has the most protein; photograph a plant, a landmark, a recipe, a sign, or an error screen and ask what it is and what to do.

Everyday vision jobs

Identify — "what plant / breed / part is this?" Compare — "which of these two labels is healthier?" Translate — "what does this menu say?" Explain — "what is this dashboard light?" Extract — "type out the text on this page."

On glasses it gets better

With Ray-Ban Meta glasses you skip the photo entirely — just look and ask "Hey Meta, what am I looking at?" The camera is already pointed where your eyes are.

Vision is impressive but not infallible — it can misread small text, misjudge quantities, or misidentify look-alikes. Verify anything that matters (dosages, allergens, prices) rather than trusting the first answer.
Frequently asked

Meta AI — your questions, answered

Can Meta AI see images?
Yes — Meta AI has strong multimodal perception. Give it a photo and it can identify, compare, translate, explain, and extract text from what is in the image.
What can I do with Meta AI's camera features?
Identify plants, breeds, or landmarks; compare product labels; translate menus and signs; explain error screens; and extract text from pages.
How does Meta AI see on glasses?
Ray-Ban Meta glasses have a camera pointed where you look, so you can ask "what am I looking at?" hands-free without taking a photo.
Is Meta AI's image recognition accurate?
Usually good but not infallible — it can misread small text or quantities. Verify anything important like dosages, allergens, or prices.
