What Midjourney costs, and which plan is right.
Midjourney pricing confuses people because it sells GPU time, not images. Here is the plain-English version and how to pick.
01The four plans
Roughly: Basic ~$10/mo, Standard ~$30, Pro ~$60, Mega ~$120, with about 20% off on annual billing. The higher tiers give more Fast GPU hours and extra perks like stealth mode. Confirm current numbers on Midjourney's pricing page.
02Fast vs Relax — the key idea
You spend Fast GPU hours for quick generation. When they run out, Standard and above drop to Relax Mode — unlimited generation, just slower (you queue). So a heavy user on Standard can generate all month; they just wait a bit once Fast hours are gone.
Which plan to pickTrying it? Basic. Regular creator? Standard is the sweet spot — unlimited Relax makes it hard to outgrow. Pro/Mega only if you need lots of Fast generation or stealth/commercial volume.
